Dr Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (PG)

We are so excited to bring you Stanley Kubrick's 1964 comedy masterpiece Dr. Strangelove, in collaboration with Birmingham Stop the War and West Midlands CND. This special event is free and will include a Q&A session after the film, with Dr Rebecca Eleanor Johnson, CND Vice President.

After the insane General Jack D. Ripper initiates a nuclear strike on the Soviet Union, a war room full of politicians, generals, and a Russian diplomat all frantically try to stop the nuclear strike.

Could it actually happen? CND believes that it could and, to try and prevent it, we need nuclear disarmament starting with the UK getting rid of its own nuclear weapons system, Trident, and not allowing the USA to use Britain as a base for American weapons.

Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to see one of the greatest films of all time back on the big screen where it belongs!

About Birmingham Stop the War
